📋 Description

• Help manage DaVita’s state public policy initiatives in the Southeast Region • Analyze state legislative and regulatory threats and opportunities • Execute strategies to accomplish organizational goals and objectives • Draft advocacy materials and resources for state policy campaigns and initiatives • Provide guidance and direction to senior management on public policy matters • Manage external state lobby teams, including engagement and tracking of relevant legislation and regulations • Establish and execute long-term strategic goals for state public policy activities • Manage implementation of public policy goals • Work with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and community organizations • Assist in creating and executing political giving strategies • Report to the Senior Director of State Government Affairs and collaborate with the broader DaVita State Government Affairs team

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • 10+ years of public policy and/or corporate government affairs experience in a state legislative or regulatory environment • Demonstrated ability to independently lead highly-leveraged state advocacy campaigns and initiatives • Health care policy background and knowledge preferred • Superior written and verbal skills • Ability to manage several high-profile issues simultaneously • Self-motivated • Strong public policy and government affairs experience
