📋 Description

• Directly manage the People Ops Manager and HRBP team • Run 1:1s, set priorities, provide feedback, develop team capability, and maintain performance standards • Own execution of the people roadmap, including scoping, sequencing, delegation, and delivery • Ensure HRBPs provide high-quality business partnership and coach them on complex employee situations • Oversee People Ops, including HRIS, employee lifecycle, compliance, and benefits • Own performance-cycle execution, calibration support, and manager coaching infrastructure • Ensure a consistent employee experience across onboarding, development, and offboarding • Drive talent-development programs, manager training, career frameworks, and development programming • Maintain compliance with employment law and address policy gaps and people-practice risks • Fund due-diligence work and support potential M&A activity • Handle complex employee-relations situations and sensitive manager conversations • Represent the People function with the ELT and business leaders • Use AI tools in day-to-day work and drive AI adoption across the team and company • Help determine when and how to grow the People function as Deepgram scales

🎯 Requirements

• 8–12 years in People/HR • Direct experience managing HRBPs or People partners • Broad functional depth across performance, compensation, compliance, employee experience, and talent development • Strong operator and team developer • Ability to take strategic direction and drive execution through others • Strategic thinking with attention to operational details • Good judgment on escalations • Active AI tool user, including ability to describe tools used and what has been built • Direct communication skills and credibility with managers and ELT members • Experience operating asynchronously with distributed teams
