📋 Description

• Own the daily market rhythm from pre-market through the close, keeping the desk’s market picture current and decision-ready • Prepare the concise, prioritized morning pre-market summary • Track earnings and events, including reporting times, positioning, and key considerations • Produce intraday checkpoint notes on market activity • Maintain watchlists, thematic baskets, stub positions, and alerts • Build same-day breakdowns and screens to answer desk questions • Provide fast, accurate desk support through data pulls, fact-checks, liquidity context, and sizing context • Use AI tools to expand coverage, summarize information, and reduce noise • Report to the senior analyst anchoring daily markets coverage

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated judgment and high-standard performance; pedigree or markets résumé not required • Strong interest in and working understanding of equity markets, including tickers, earnings mechanics, analyst ratings, and news-driven price movements • Ability to process high volumes of data, rules, and constraints quickly and accurately • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver complete, correct, and timely recurring work • Ability to synthesize complex information into concise, prioritized briefs under time pressure • Ability to accept feedback, update quickly when facts change, and prioritize accuracy over credit • Ability to remain calm under real-time market pressure • Reliability from pre-market through the close on the market’s schedule • Ability to filter relevant signals from high-volume news, data, and commentary • Comfort building and maintaining lists, screens, and same-day breakdowns • Fluency with modern AI tools for monitoring, summarizing, and triage • Self-directed ability to manage time and identify issues while working remotely
