📋 Description

• Stand up and manage UDS environments across AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and on-premises clusters for government-backed commercial vendors • Own platform uptime • Create custom UDS packages and application-specific modules to streamline deployment • Use Terraform and OpenTofu for infrastructure-as-code • Serve as the primary technical interface for customers • Run customer onboarding and develop and deliver training content • Deliver remote and on-site training sessions • Troubleshoot complex UDS issues and meet SLA commitments • Provide on-call support when required • Gather customer and community feedback and translate it into product and engineering insights • Experiment with tools and techniques to improve deployment efficiency • Analyze operational and usage data to identify trends and improve delivery strategies • Define customer onboarding, deployment, and support processes • Influence product and engineering roadmaps through customer insights • Mentor new hires and help shape team culture • Design new service packages, training programs, and delivery models • Travel less than 25% as expected

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role, with a focus on system architecture and development • Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures, including networking, RBAC, and storage for cloud and on-prem clusters • Hands-on experience with Azure AKS, AWS EKS, or on-prem Kubernetes such as RKE2, K3s, or OpenShift • Experience with Helm, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or OpenTofu • Knowledge of DevSecOps/DevOps and CI/CD pipelines running on GitLab or GitHub • Experience serving as the primary technical interface for customers, providing architecture guidance, production support, and platform expertise • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data • Excellent communication skills and effectiveness in a remote team environment • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision • Willingness to travel as needed for on-site training and support • DoD IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ • U.S. citizenship required • DoD Secret or higher clearance is preferred, not required
