📋 Description

• Coordinate all aspects of the surgical scheduling process • Ensure smooth communication between patients, providers, and third-party services • Schedule surgical procedures and related appointments • Manage patient surgical files from initial indication through to the operating room • Complete and fax required paperwork to the OR and Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) • Order special equipment, surgical supplies, braces, stimulators, and other medical devices as needed • Fax prescriptions to Primary Care Physicians and Cardiology offices for pre-surgical clearance • Contact PCP and Cardiology offices to obtain surgical clearances • Schedule pre- and post-operative appointments • Fax completed surgery packets to the hospital once the chart is finalized • Call patients the day before surgery to confirm details and answer questions • Handle third-party scheduling and equipment ordering related to surgical needs • Answer incoming phone calls and return messages promptly • Make confirmation calls to ensure all pre-surgical steps are completed • Perform scanning and documentation of relevant paperwork • Assist with other administrative tasks assigned by the Surgical Scheduling Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Previous experience in surgical scheduling or medical office administration preferred • Strong organizational and communication skills • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus • Proficient in using office equipment and standard software applications (e.g., fax, EMR systems) • Must live in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or Florida
