📋 Description

• Support pipelines and products contributing directly to the 2026 midterms • Maintain and validate early vote and vendor data pipelines • Maintain core data products that make raw, multi-sourced data usable at scale • Build and support ETL infrastructure for accessible, accurate, and actionable data • Integrate Census data for the data science team • Build voter contact data models for campaigns • Build analytics products for decision-makers • Improve and maintain data observability using data contracts, SLAs, and automated tests • Partner with the Analytics Engineering Lead, Product Manager, and data team peers • Perform other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC’s mission

🎯 Requirements

• Write clean, well-organized SQL and structure reusable data pipelines • Experience working with large, complex, initially untidy datasets • Experience using DBT or Airflow to build and maintain production workflows; comparable tools include Dagster, Databricks, AWS Glue, or Dataform • Comfortable with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery and GCS • Knowledge of ETL infrastructure and data pipelines • Ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly to engineers and non-technical collaborators • Pragmatic and adaptable approach to imperfect data • Experience working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities • At least 2 years of industry experience • U.S. citizenship or U.S. green card holder status required due to federal campaign finance rules • Ability to work weekends as needed • Familiarity with DBT, SQL, Google BigQuery, GCP, Python, Docker, infrastructure-as-code, HashiCorp Terraform, Pulumi, LLMs, Gemini, and Claude
