📋 Description

• Review and determine prior authorization requests based on company policies and decision trees • Triage and enter incoming prior authorization requests from provider offices • Apply preferred product strategies and work with providers to steer utilization of the Part B medication benefit • Reach out to hospitals and provider offices to obtain clinical documentation • Contact provider groups and members to communicate clinical decisions • Address member questions and concerns when alternative treatment options are needed • Provide operational support for medical management processes enabling pharmacists and physicians to make efficient, high-quality decisions • Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders in workflows • Provide support for offshore clinical partners • Interpret plan benefits and enter specialty pharmacy overrides for proper claim adjudication

🎯 Requirements

• Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with at least three years of work experience in this field • Strong desire to continue to work closely with aging patient populations • Experience with Medicare Part B operations (e.g. pharmacy help desk, utilization management, prior authorizations) • Experience caring for Medicare patients • Proficient in technology, including Gmail / G Suite • Organized with high attention to detail • Prior experience in utilization management preferred • Ability to work 11:30 AM to 8 PM EST • Mandatory weekend rotation
