📋 Description

• Counsel product and research teams across the full product lifecycle • Lead regulatory compliance efforts for manufacturing, distribution, and sale of products in the United States and abroad • Draft, negotiate, and execute strategic partnerships, licensing, joint development, supply, and manufacturing arrangements • Build playbooks, processes, and infrastructure for a scalable product legal function • Collaborate with product, research, engineering, finance, privacy, compliance, trade, cross-functional stakeholders, and outside counsel • Translate complex legal concepts into actionable guidance for non-lawyers and align legal advice with product, engineering, and business strategy • Report to the Head of Product Legal

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school • Active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar, or eligibility for in-house/registered counsel status in your state of employment • 8+ years of relevant experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department • Substantial experience advising on regulatory compliance for the manufacturing, distribution, and sale of technology products in the US and abroad • Proven track record drafting, negotiating, and executing complex technology transactions with direct impact on business or product strategy • Versatility across regulatory and transactional matters • Judgment to advise amid ambiguity and interest in novel legal questions • Ability to leverage existing AI tools and help build superior ones • U.S. citizenship or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawful admission as a refugee or asylee, due to export control laws and regulations
