📋 Description

• Own the technical direction and architecture of Identity Digital’s cloud infrastructure • Design, build, and operate the cloud-native platform for a multi-tenant managed service • Own production readiness for enterprise launch, including SLOs, error budgets, runbooks, failover testing, and business continuity • Operate DNS production infrastructure, including zones, DNSSEC, registrar/provider integrations, and provider failover • Operate signing and certificate infrastructure with security engineering • Build the delivery pipeline and CI enforcement boundary for an AI-assisted engineering team • Ship signed releases with provenance and supply-chain controls • Instrument the platform with logging, metrics, and tracing • Automate audit-readiness infrastructure, including logging, retention, access reviews, and evidence collection • Monitor cloud spend and unit economics per tenant and workload • Review designs, mentor engineers, and help set the hiring bar • Establish the on-call practice, serve as incident commander, and drive blameless postmortems • Model and promote Identity Digital’s core values • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in DevOps, site reliability, or platform engineering, including principal or staff scope • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience • Deep experience with cloud-native architectures and services; AWS/GCP preferred • Strong proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern infrastructure-as-code practices • Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD • Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript • Experience building observability stacks, including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or OpenTelemetry • Working depth in DNS operations, including zone management and DNSSEC • Solid understanding of PKI, secrets management, and certificate workflows • Experience running multi-tenant SaaS and distributed systems in production, including incident command • Track record of improving teams’ operational standards through design review and mentoring • Ability to travel as needed • Ability to work effectively across time zones on a distributed team • Preferred: experience operating signing infrastructure or a certificate authority at scale • Preferred: supply-chain security experience with SLSA, sigstore/cosign, reproducible builds, and provenance • Preferred: familiarity with agentic AI systems and OWASP Agentic and NHI Top 10 • Preferred: infrastructure-side SOC 2 or comparable audit-program experience • Preferred: experience taking a product from prototype to general availability • Preferred: contributions to open-source infrastructure or operations tooling • Ability to complete a satisfactory background check • Work sponsorship may not be available now or in the future • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods and work at a computer • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
