📋 Description

• Lead multiple highly-visible design initiatives delivering against Dropbox’s strategic AI priorities • Drive strategic initiatives combining design excellence, customer empathy, and innovation • Shape team culture and role-model excellence in strategy, interaction and visual design, prototyping, and storytelling • Define high-level opportunities that can transform user experience and business outcomes • Bring clarity, insight, and strategic focus to complex challenges • Own strategic, design-led projects from concept through delivery • Advocate for and guide the team toward customer-centered, innovative outcomes • Partner with the broader design organization to ensure high standards of craftsmanship and usability • Simplify complex workflows and user experiences for multiple customers • Help shape and execute broader design strategy and influence product strategy • Collaborate with Design, Product, Engineering, and leadership to align design initiatives with company goals

🎯 Requirements

• 10-15+ years in a senior Individual Contributor role, with a proven track record leading complex design initiatives • Portfolio showcasing significant contributions to shipped customer experiences with measurable business and customer-metric impact • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and leadership • Ability to influence design strategy and ensure successful execution • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong storytelling skills for presenting and advocating for design decisions • Familiarity with leveraging generative AI for exploration and prototyping • Preferred: proven ability to lead design efforts in remote or distributed teams across time zones and organizational silos • Preferred: leadership driving company-wide initiatives to improve design quality, such as teaching prototyping classes or mentoring designers
