Duckietown Robotics is an educational and research organization and platform that makes hands-on vehicle autonomy and robotics accessible. Born out of MIT CSAIL, Duckietown offers an open ecosystem: a widely used MOOC (βSelf-driving Cars with Duckietownβ), physical robot kits (Duckiebots) and lab setups, simulators, curricula and rich documentation for instructors and independent learners, and an open research platform (Autolabs) for reproducible mobile-robotics and embodied-AI research. It is used by universities, instructors, researchers and learners worldwide to teach and study perception, control, localization, and multi-agent systems in a compact, low-cost setting, and it runs community events such as the AI Driving Olympics.
