📋 Description

• Engineer complex physical and cloud-hosted data center infrastructures across network, compute, storage, platform, middleware, database, and telephony domains • Analyze current and future requirements and assess technical and economic feasibility of infrastructure designs • Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, documentation, guidelines, work procedures, and schedules • Compile and analyze operational data and direct proof-of-technology activities for new or modified designs • Plan and develop engineering designs supporting network, compute, telephony, platform, middleware, and database solutions • Own technology currency and capacity planning in support of established SLAs • Define hardware and software performance standards • Provide subject matter expertise on emerging technologies with strategic technology vendors • Participate in software and hardware licensing, financial, and capacity planning activities • Consult with IT, business areas, vendors, project teams, management, and service partners • Execute detailed infrastructure designs for large and complex internal projects • Provide operational readiness through performance and tuning analysis, systems support, incident and problem resolution, software installation, and upgrades • Guide production incident solutioning when required • Maintain technical roadmaps and contribute to architecture strategies and standards • Collaborate with vendors to ensure delivered infrastructure matches the architecture or design • Present new technology overviews to IT and Enterprise leadership • Provide direction and assistance to less experienced team members

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required), or 7+ years of experience in related field in lieu of degree • 5+ years of experience in related field • Experience administering AWS cloud environments and enterprise Linux systems, including RHEL 9 and AIX • Hands-on expertise with Ansible and Ansible Tower for infrastructure automation and configuration management • Experience utilizing Red Hat Satellite for system lifecycle management, patching, and compliance activities • Knowledge of patch management and vulnerability remediation processes in large-scale enterprise environments • Understanding of security best practices and vulnerability management methodologies • Authorization to work in the United States • Ability to work in one of the approved states listed in the posting
