📋 Description

• Develop, direct, and implement Health and Safety Compliance programs • Provide guidance and accountability to leadership, contractors, OEMs, vendors, suppliers, and employees • Ensure compliance with company, federal, state, provincial, and local safety and environmental standards and regulations • Hold stakeholders accountable for applying H&S policies and procedures • Develop and review location audits and inspections • Identify systemic trends and consult with local teams on corrective action strategies • Interface with project H&S representatives during contract negotiations and project execution • Review site-specific safety plans for compliance with EDF power solutions policies and procedures • Interpret regulations, best practices, consensus standards, and onsite hazard analyses • Develop onsite H&S practices, policies, procedures, and instructional materials • Serve as a health and safety subject matter expert for construction, development, and generation teams • Provide technical guidance on contractor and employee safety and regulatory compliance • Develop, review, and analyze H&S metrics and trends for field organizations and leadership • Create H&S documents and information for field and onsite teams • Lead development of a robust safety culture; supervise contractor and employee work products on H&S initiatives • Manage travel and expenses and ensure program requests include business plans and budget impacts

🎯 Requirements

• Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Provincial labor and environmental regulations/standards • Proficient reading, comprehension, and writing skills • Technical writing ability • Effective communication across all operational levels and with suppliers and customers • Valid driver’s license • Valid passport for international travel • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to present safety topics to large groups • Willingness and ability to travel throughout North America or internationally as required • Continued education as required to fulfill professional certifications • Associate degree or equivalent experience and/or certification in regulatory compliance, hazard identification, safety auditing, corrective action development, safety document development, and safety training development/presentation desirable • CHST, ASP, or OHST certification required • OSHA 500 training desired • Five years of practical field safety administration experience required • Knowledge of safety and environmental requirements related to electrical utility construction and wind, solar, and energy storage operations • Ability to work at heights, including climbing and descending towers; must pass initial Functional Capacity Examination, climb test, and related training • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions • Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 25 pounds
