📋 Description

• Obtain information necessary to approve and process fidelity and commercial surety renewals • Communicate with underwriters and agents to obtain necessary information • Assess risk and make final approval and issuance decisions for new and renewal bond policies within limited authority • Travel with the manager to meet agents and insureds and learn about underwriting and marketing • Enter, rate, and code new bond business and renewals • Develop premiums for all bonds • Enter cancellations and endorsements • Prepare, image, and index correspondence from email, mail, and underwriters into the computer system • Issue and process status inquiries on contract bonds • Enter and assist bond underwriters with general indemnity agreements and track them • Assist underwriters by entering financial statements and work-in-progress information into the bond underwriting system • Order and retrieve personal credit reports and Experian reports for contract and non-contract bond accounts • Update appropriate systems and underwriters on credit report results • Review reports for contract and non-contract bonds

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree, or equivalent relevant experience • Fidelity and surety bond experience preferred • Knowledge of surety and fidelity underwriting terminology, coverage forms, related documents, and procedures preferred • Strong computer and keyboarding skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Excellent customer service skills • Good math and bookkeeping skills • Ability to work on multiple tasks at one time with frequent interruptions • Must be detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving, organizational, and prioritizing skills • Ability to work effectively with others and independently
