📋 Description

• Execute approved cybersecurity testing procedures precisely as written • Document deviations, interruptions, or anomalies • Perform vulnerability scanning, configuration reviews, control validation, and cloud security assessments • Execute controlled adversary simulation steps, privilege escalation testing, and access control validation • Capture and preserve technical evidence with synchronized timestamps for audit review • Assemble testing workpapers and evidence packages for quality assurance review • Perform remediation verification testing and document results against original findings • Analyze logs and monitoring activity to support testing and detection validation • Escalate anomalous or unexpected system behavior under established stop-work procedures • Coordinate with technical leads, cybersecurity SMEs, and government stakeholders across multiple testing environments • Report to the Project Manager, with day-to-day technical direction from the Deputy Project Manager/Technical Lead and Senior SMEs

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside in the state of Florida • 5+ years of experience conducting technical security assessments, vulnerability testing, or cybersecurity operations • Demonstrated experience producing technical documentation suitable for audit or compliance review • Experience working to written procedures under supervision in production environments • Mandatory certification at hire: CEH, CISA, or CISSP • Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, control validation, log analysis, configuration reviews, and cloud security assessments • Experience executing controlled adversary simulations, privilege escalation testing, access control validation, and monitoring effectiveness reviews • Proficiency with Nessus, OpenVAS, Burp Suite, BloodHound, Kali Linux, Wazuh, Elastic Stack, Wireshark, and Nmap • Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Sentinel • Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Bash • Ability to collect and preserve technical evidence suitable for audit review • Experience performing endpoint, server, database, and network device assessments • Knowledge of vulnerability scoring, risk prioritization, and remediation verification • Ability to create detailed testing workpapers and technical evidence packages • Working understanding of NIST CSF and state cybersecurity technical requirements, including Rule 60GG-2, F.A.C. • Preferred certifications: Security+, GSEC, PenTest+, GPEN, CySA+, OSCP, SC-200, Certified Red Team Operator, or cloud security certifications • Preferred experience supporting government audit or oversight engagements • Preferred experience with Atomic Red Team or MITRE CALDERA
