📋 Description

• Review patient accounts and identify patient and insurance overpayments and credit balances • Work closely with insurance companies and internal billers to reconcile correct payments received • Evaluate and verify accounts in accordance with program provisions • Perform data entry, post payments, reconcile billing and invoices, check balances, maintain patient files, and request refunds • Identify credit balances due to electronic or manual insurance overpayments, patient overpayments, and adjustments from denials or contractual allowances • Investigate and resolve assigned credit balance accounts through ticketing systems, credit balance ticklers, or email • Correct patient and insurance payments to patient accounts • Calculate, enter, and correct contractual adjustments and patient discounts when needed • Issue patient and insurance refunds • Detect posting and payer trends and/or errors • Handle internal and external phone calls regarding credit balances and refunds • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Three plus years’ experience working with credit balances from electronic/manual EOBs, lockbox and patient payments or equivalent experience in patient accounting • Three plus years’ experience in medical billing & refunding insurances and/or patients’ accounts or equivalent experience in patient accounting • Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately • Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment • Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor • Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED) • Adheres to Envision’s Code of Conduct and Compliance Policies and attends annual Compliance training
