📋 Description

• Process paper and electronic claims to payers with complete information • Produce accurate and timely claims to prevent denials and maximize reimbursement • Work assigned queues within the patient accounting system and claim scrubber edits before final submission • Review submissions prospectively and make corrections to expedite first-time payment • Research and communicate payer, HIPAA, and regulatory changes affecting health insurance claim billing • Recommend billing and system-operation improvements to improve payment turnaround • Collaborate with insurance companies, credentialing, access, managed care, and other stakeholders • Recommend system changes to improve revenue-cycle processes and quality • Assist in developing training • Establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and others

🎯 Requirements

• Preferred: 1 year of healthcare experience in healthcare billing, revenue services, or coding • Medical certification or degree preferred • High level of customer service skills • Ability to research and communicate payer, HIPAA, and other regulatory changes • Successful completion of post-offer screenings • Legal right to work in the United States • Health screening and immunization review • Verification of applicable licensure, certifications, education, and experience • Background checks, including criminal check, urine drug screen, and MVR where required
