📋 Description

• Review and complete coding, claims, and denials for medications, supplies, and diagnoses within pharmacy • Maintain the payer database, add new payers, and assign pricing contracts • Work with payers to determine eligibility • Evaluate the provider database and ensure license information is complete and correct • Assess pharmacists' progress notes for proper documentation • Monitor denials and claims to assess outstanding accounts receivable • Stay current on changing payer rules through payer updates and home infusion industry publications and listservs • Assist with statistical reports on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules • Provide consultation for hospital-based ground services as needed • Use analytic software to build custom accounts receivable or denials reports

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's degree in health care or a business-related field required • Bachelor's degree preferred • Four years of applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of education • Minimum of three years of experience in pharmacy and medical billing • Certified pharmacy technician, coder, or medical biller preferred
