• Develop and manage all field reimbursement activities with the assigned partner • Build and manage a team of Regional Access Directors • Lead achievement of partner objectives aligned with company vision and values • Identify market opportunities and challenges • Develop, implement, and follow through on action plans • Coach team members to support corporate growth • Evaluate success, optimize opportunities, and communicate results to partners and internal stakeholders • Coordinate in-field activity to achieve specialty targets • Maximize market, segment, and team dynamics to drive top- and bottom-line results • Ensure smooth day-to-day and long-term business execution • Maintain technical expertise to answer product, policy, and business questions • Plan and conduct action-plan and leadership meetings • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and processes • Provide direction and insights to internal partners during business planning • Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members • Hold direct reports accountable for behaviors and expectations • Interview, select, and supervise department staff • Manage the field reimbursement leadership team and broader team day to day • Set job objectives, work methods, and performance standards • Conduct performance reviews and administer personnel actions
• Bachelor’s degree required • Healthcare degree strongly preferred, including MS, RN, PA, PharmD, PhD, or similar advanced healthcare/scientific degree • 15+ years in pharmaceutical industry with experience in payer policy and product access • 8+ years of experience in benefit verifications and/or prior-authorization requirements or equivalent experience in patient access • 5+ years leading successful field access teams • Detailed understanding of pharmacy and medical benefit product models • Knowledge of Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and processes, including Medicare Parts B & D coverage • Knowledge of specialty markets, HUB/reimbursement services, and patient access programs • Strong analytical skills to assess market dynamics, competitor activity, and continuous diabetes monitoring trends • Ability to gather and interpret data to guide regional strategy, including HUB and patient claims data • Computer skills using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, and GoTo Meeting • Pediatric Endocrinology and/or Endocrinology experience preferred • Previous experience in other biopharmaceutical functions is a plus • Ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas • Must have documented successful field reimbursement management results
