📋 Description

• Design mapping and transformation systems that isolate each merchant’s uniqueness and maintain consistent downstream data • Build tooling and standards to accelerate and secure enterprise merchant onboarding • Support merchant migrations onto current platform capabilities • Handle complex merchant integrations • Build merchant-facing error reporting from validation and processing errors • Engineer validation, reconciliation, automated failure triage, and trusted alerting • Expand the event-driven architecture using Kafka, EventBridge, SNS, Step Functions, and SQS • Add lifecycle webhooks for service and order events • Own work from design through production, including monitoring, observability, data-quality checks, and reconciliation • Mentor others and help shape integration standards

🎯 Requirements

• 4-6 years in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a closely related field • Deep AWS serverless experience: Lambda, DynamoDB, Glue, and Step Functions • Hands-on experience with event-driven systems: Kafka, EventBridge, and SNS • Fluency in Python and TypeScript • Experience building and hardening large-scale data platforms and integrations • Experience building platforms and tooling that other engineers build on • Experience delivering clean data into a warehouse such as Snowflake or a data lake • Experience building reconciliation against data warehouses or data lakes • Ownership mentality and ability to drive work to completion without step-by-step guidance • Mentorship experience with a humble, collaborative approach • Bonus: experience designing clear, actionable error surfaces or reporting for external or non-technical consumers • Must not require immigration-related sponsorship
