📋 Description

• Design, build, test, document, and operate production-grade software, primarily Go services and APIs • Own technical design for medium-to-large features and systems, including trade-offs, documentation, and delivery • Break ambiguous problems into scoped, deliverable work • Lead and participate in design, architecture, and code reviews • Mentor and grow engineers, onboard new hires, and serve as a technical point of contact • Participate in and improve the on-call rotation, incident response, and blameless postmortems • Improve system reliability, performance, and cost; define and act on SLOs and operational metrics • Identify and reduce technical debt • Partner with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to shape roadmaps and technology decisions • Define and uphold engineering principles, guidelines, and best practices • Develop industry, product, feature, and roadmap expertise to inform technical decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems • Strong, demonstrated proficiency in Go (Golang), including concurrency patterns, error handling, testing, profiling, and performance tuning • Experience designing, building, and scaling backend services and APIs using REST and/or gRPC in distributed, microservices environments • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and experience with React or another modern front-end framework • Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases, caching, and event streaming such as Kafka or SQS/SNS • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; containers; CI/CD; and infrastructure-as-code • Strong operational skills in observability, monitoring, alerting, and debugging production issues • Track record of leading projects with multiple contributors and delivering on time without sacrificing quality • Familiarity with Agile software product delivery and SCRUM methodology • Ability to work cross-functionally within an enterprise environment • Preferred: experience with identity and access management, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, MFA, identity providers, CIAM platforms, account security, fraud prevention, PII handling, KYC, GDPR, CCPA, high-traffic consumer products, platform/shared-services work, start-up environments, or sports, commerce, or media domains
