📋 Description

• Coordinate implementation of Disaster Services priorities and projects across internal departments, food banks, state associations, regional coops, and external partners • Develop and maintain presentations, reports, dashboards, and communications for stakeholder and executive engagement • Facilitate meetings, workshops, webinars, planning sessions, and collaborative discussions; document decisions and track follow-up • Coordinate disaster readiness planning, operational resources, trainings, documentation, and incident command structure education • Manage the Disaster Services pre-staging product program, including inventory, storage capacity, audits, deployment, replenishment, and tracking • Maintain Disaster Services files, SharePoint/HungerNet resources, databases, SOPs, playbooks, templates, and operational guidance • Monitor nationwide disaster activity and provide situational awareness through Situation Reports, executive briefings, and operational updates • Serve in a response leadership role during disaster activations and coordinate national disaster response operations • Lead Disaster Response Leadership Team calls and operational briefings; coordinate responding members and internal teams • Coordinate requests for food, water, transportation, loaned staff, volunteers, and other disaster resources • Support recovery activities, After Action Reviews, lessons learned, and operational improvements • Provide operational guidance and respond to disaster-related inquiries from network members • Connect food banks with Disaster Services resources, guidance, and partner organizations • Build relationships with food banks, state associations, regional coops, government agencies, voluntary organizations, corporate partners, and internal departments • Support evaluation and continuous improvement through data collection, reporting, performance tracking, and analysis • Represent Feeding America with national and regional partners through relationship-building, conferences, and speaking engagements

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in emergency management, disaster response, disaster preparedness, or disaster-related work within a food bank or Partner State Association (PSA) • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills • Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint • Experience planning and facilitating trainings, workshops, exercises, meetings, webinars, or other stakeholder engagement activities • Working knowledge of emergency management principles, disaster operations, and/or disaster planning • Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification preferred but not required • Experience coordinating national, multi-state, or large-scale disaster operations • Experience collaborating with government agencies, voluntary organizations, and private-sector partners • Experience working within food banks, Partner State Associations, food distribution networks, or supply chain operations supporting disaster response and emergency food assistance • Ability to work in the United States; Feeding America participates in E-Verify
