📋 Description

• Provide technical advice and support to sales, distribution partners, and customers regarding applications and production processes • Create technical content for marketing activities, including application and video tutorials • Engage with external control groups to stay updated on market trends • Develop relationships with controls engineers at customer organizations • Communicate with MAEs and Technical Support colleagues across North America • Provide onsite customer support for prototype startups and proof-of-concept work • Configure networks, integrate devices, and perform product sizing and selection • Establish a repository of software applications and libraries to streamline commissioning • Gather customer feedback and relay it to Product Management • Collaborate with Technical Support to resolve technical support tickets • Evaluate technical and commercial feasibility of proposals • Discuss controls and electromechanical proposals to optimize machine performance and increase component sales • Contribute to automated machinery concepts, specifications, and designs • Provide support regarding norms and regulations • Identify and secure projects based on application, automation, and sector expertise • Share knowledge with Business Drivers to promote solution adoption • Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to MAE and Business Development teams • Act as the key technical interface between customers, Sales Engineering, and Festo technical departments during pre-sales • Work closely with Technical Support to address customer technical issues • Work additional hours when required to fulfill essential duties • Travel for training, customer visits, company events, or visits to headquarters and regional offices

🎯 Requirements

• English language required; Spanish is a plus • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret moderate to complex documents • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints • Ability to make effective speeches and present technical or complex topics to customers • Microsoft Office suite experience • Experience with IEC61131-3 programming languages • Familiarity with CODESYS, Rockwell Automation Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT 3, and/or Omron Sysmac Studio • Python, C++, C#, and LabVIEW are a plus • Familiarity with EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP, TCP/IP, and IO-Link • Understanding of motion control concepts, PLCs, and distributed I/O • Ability to size and design servo motor applications • Familiarity with pneumatics and pneumatic control logic • Troubleshooting skills • CAD knowledge • Bachelor's Degree (BS in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering); MBA preferred • 5–10+ years minimum experience in project managing, controls engineering, sales, and technical support in industrial automation • Experience in Festo is a plus • Mechatronics, electromechanical, or robotics engineering background • Solid knowledge of industrial automation • Experience in sales and customer responsibility • Excellent communication and presentation skills
