📋 Description

• Provide program management oversight to several global health projects funded by the U.S. Government and other donors across a portfolio of countries • Serve as the main HQ point of contact on assigned country programs • Supervise program staff in-country and Country-level Project Directors as assigned • Lead project start-up, workplan and budget development, subaward development and review, compliance and programmatic monitoring, and close-out • Liaise with project offices on program management and execution • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and adherence to budget, scope, and schedule • Prepare and review presentations and support related program objectives and deliverables • Manage projects from initiation to completion • Build project management plans, project plans, documentation, training, presentations, and budget proposals • Identify and resolve project issues and implement improvement plans • Evaluate project progress and build partnerships • Oversee country workplans, budgets, scope, risks, deliverables, and project completion • Establish stakeholder communication schedules and determine project resources and schedules • Execute projects according to project plans and author reports for management and funders • Communicate with funders according to funding agreements • Monitor and approve project expenditures, cash flow, variances, financial records, and funder financial reports • Coach, mentor, and manage project teams and ensure appropriate staff orientation • Develop delegation tools and evaluate team-member performance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent in Civil Society, Communication and Social Marketing, Economic Development, Education, the Environment, Gender, Health, Nutrition, Research, Technology, Youth, or related fields • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience with project management principles and practices • Minimum 2+ years of line management experience • Prior work experience in an NGO, government agency, or private organization • Project management certification preferred • Prior experience starting up new programs internationally preferred • Previous experience working on global health projects, including USG and PEPFAR-supported programs, preferred • Professional proficiency in French or Spanish preferred • International or domestic US program development or project management preferred • Comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts, practices, and procedures • Strong knowledge of project management software and other technologies • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Demonstrated project and personnel management skills • Ability to influence, motivate, collaborate, adapt, and resolve problems • Ability to work in a typical office environment and use a computer and keyboard for extended periods • Ability to lift/move up to 5 lbs. • Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Office 365, SharePoint, Skype/Zoom/Teams, and standard office equipment • Willingness to travel 10%–25% • Employment is subject to reference, criminal record, and terrorism finance screening checks
