📋 Description

• Advance Finance of America’s proficiency with and adoption of innovative technologies, including generative AI • Explore, scope, and model costs for emerging technology solutions • Lead and manage resources across Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence innovation programs • Support enterprise strategy through long-range planning, budget management, vendor selection, and tactical solutions • Integrate comprehensive data operations programs into risk and privacy frameworks • Provide strategic leadership for emerging technology programs across Finance of America Companies • Advise senior management on information systems and protection of information assets • Lead innovation compliance and risk initiatives related to SOX IT General Controls and FFIEC best practices • Establish metrics and reporting to measure program efficiency, effectiveness, experimental use cases, and pilot programs • Design, implement, and monitor an innovation vision and strategy aligned with organizational priorities and OKRs • Identify use cases for process optimization, data mining, marketing campaigns, and core business operations • Communicate emerging technology goals, vision, strategy, and policies across the organization • Create and champion working groups to socialize complex topics and build support for emerging technology pilots • Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies to strengthen corporate capabilities • Collaborate with legal and risk teams to develop technology integration processes and policies • Advise senior leadership as a subject matter expert on emerging technology • Apply data science techniques to generate insights from databases, APIs, web scraping, and natural language processing • Develop and deploy data-driven products and services • Establish ethical, secure, and scalable data science practices and standards • Apply machine learning techniques to create, train, and evaluate predictive models • Implement machine learning solutions using frameworks and platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, AWS SageMaker, and Azure Machine Learning • Monitor machine learning research and trends and identify opportunities for innovation • Perform other duties as assigned • Report to the SVP, Chief Data Officer • Manage two Emerging Technologies Specialists and one Senior Data Scientist

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in risk management, AI, and information technology fields • 10 years of progressive management experience, including 4 years in a senior management role • 10 years of demonstrated senior corporate leadership experience preferred • Senior-level experience in adaptive, evolving financial services environments preferred • Project management experience • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience managing large budgets and identifying cost efficiencies • Knowledge of U.S. laws and regulations relating to financial services technology and artificial intelligence • Knowledge of technologies and their enterprise-scale application to achieve strategic business outcomes • Understanding of technologies underpinning the lending process • Ability to adapt quickly, test new ideas, discard underperforming concepts, and modify program models • Interest in exploring commercial and open-source industry solutions • Strong decision-making capabilities and ability to evaluate costs and benefits • Ability to take initiative, work autonomously, prioritize effectively, manage multiple matters, and meet deadlines • Ability to communicate complex material clearly to executives and cross-functional groups • Ability to manage open-ended challenges amid structural uncertainty • Ability to stay current with rapidly changing technologies and ideas across the lending space • Required bachelor’s degree • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or related field preferred • Preferred master’s degree
