📋 Description

• Provide market intelligence on bolt-on targets, competitive landscape, and valuation context within the subsector • Make introductions to founders, family owners, and senior executives in the existing network • Review confidential information memoranda and management presentations for sector-specific operating fit and risk • Participate in PE sponsor pitches when subsector and operating background are relevant • Provide operational due diligence input on target companies • Advise the Fireclay team on positioning and messaging for sponsor outreach and sourcing campaigns • Partner with the Fireclay team on specific deals where domain expertise creates value • Support engagements typically running three to twelve months on a deal-specific basis

🎯 Requirements

• VP Operations, COO, President, or CEO experience at a utility services operator, renewable developer or O&M platform, water utility, environmental services platform, or PE-backed energy infrastructure operator • Fifteen years or more in energy-adjacent services • Direct multi-site or multi-region operating experience • Working knowledge of regulated utility procurement, federal and state environmental compliance, or renewable project finance, depending on subsector • Existing network of relationships with founders, family owners, senior executives, and PE professionals across the subsector • Comfort representing Fireclay professionally to PE sponsors and target company management • Discretion when handling non-public information and competitive intelligence • Willingness to work on a flexible per-engagement basis without fixed hours or commitments • Resume or LinkedIn URL • Brief statement describing subsector focus and two or three relevant operating engagements or transactions • Two or three reference contacts
