📋 Description

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including mortgage servicing and subservicing accounting functions • Direct and monitor accounting activities to ensure transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, reported, and managed • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, financial analysis and reporting, revenue and asset accounting, mortgage servicing accounting, loan-level accounting, investor and servicing-related financial activity, fee and advance accounting, and close activities • Review financial reports, accounting statements, reconciliations, and servicing-related financial data • Provide technical accounting expertise and advice to leaders • Partner with servicing, treasury, finance, operations, compliance, and other stakeholders • Select and manage relationships with external consultants, accounting firms, and service providers • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop accounting professionals • Set accounting operational and financial goals and standards • Manage accounting systems and procedures and implement improvements • Approve bank account reconciliations • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements • Supervise month-end reconciliations, closing, and reporting • Maintain financial security through internal controls and provide audit support • Supervise teams responsible for operations and project outcomes • Contribute to project reviews and approve project designs and cost estimates • Participate in departmental planning and operational decisions • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and make hiring and compensation recommendations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required • 5-7 years of directly related experience • 3-5 years demonstrated experience in a supervisory/management role • Demonstrated success establishing, leading and maintaining effective working relationships at the Middle Management level • Deep subject matter expertise • Analytical, project management and problem solving skills • Successful track record designing, developing, and executing complex projects in area of functional expertise • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at the Management level across global functional groups and business units • Ability to influence thinking and gain acceptance in sensitive situations • Strong capacity to communicate the function’s vision and set aligned goals • Familiarity with competitor, financial and industry dynamics • Ability to recruit, retain and develop talent, hold employees accountable, lead change, manage conflict and foster collaboration • Ability to manage customer expectations and ensure commitments are met • Ability to provide reliable information, deliver persuasive presentations, listen effectively and negotiate • High level of business acumen, strategic agility, ability to develop others, and influence change
