📋 Description

• Lead underwriting efforts for complex loan requests, assessing creditworthiness and recommending risk-mitigating structures • Continuously monitor the assigned portfolio to identify credit risks, trends, and financial performance concerns • Partner with relationship managers in negotiations and client discussions • Collaborate with legal teams to review and negotiate credit agreements • Provide guidance to junior credit professionals and share expertise and best practices • Identify and raise improvement areas in credit processes and procedures to leadership • Use independent judgment and discretion to make decisions regarding the assigned portfolio • Analyze and resolve problems pertaining to the assigned portfolio • Perform special projects and additional duties as required • Adhere to regulatory and compliance policies and standards

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or 10+ years of equivalent experience • 4+ years in commercial credit analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management • Advanced financial modeling and risk assessment expertise • Strong negotiation skills and ability to collaborate with clients • Experience structuring complex loan transactions • Ability to analyze macroeconomic trends and their impact on credit risk • Strong command of financial modeling, industry-specific credit risks, and structuring commercial credit transactions • Ability to proactively identify potential credit risks and recommend risk mitigation strategies • Experience managing complex portfolios and adhering to credit policies • Ability to drive loan structuring and closing processes with minimal oversight • Familiarity with credit agreements, loan documentation, and regulatory requirements • Proficiency in financial analysis tools, CRM systems, and underwriting software • Must adhere to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and complete required compliance trainings
