📋 Description

• Develop and implement strategic transportation plans to optimize delivery routes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency • Evaluate transportation processes and identify areas for improvement • Establish and maintain carrier relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance against service level agreements • Source new carriers and freight partners • Analyze transportation costs and implement cost-saving initiatives, including route optimization, freight consolidation, and fuel efficiency programs • Collaborate with inventory control teams to maintain accurate inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment • Coordinate inbound shipments with suppliers and manufacturers and manage lead times • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety requirements, environmental policies, and industry standards • Develop KPIs and generate reports tracking on-time delivery, transportation costs, and carrier performance • Lead, mentor, train, and support transportation coordinators and logistics professionals • Foster a collaborative work environment focused on organizational goals

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field • 5 years of proven experience in transportation management, preferably in the heavy-duty truck parts industry • Strong understanding of transportation operations, logistics processes, and supply chain management principles • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions • Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), route optimization software, and other logistics technology • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills • Ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience leading and developing high-performing teams • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
