• Represent Flow International Corporation and its products and services to new and existing customers • Manage national accounts, select equipment manufacturers, and channel partners including dealers and agents • Develop and maintain long-term business relationships • Identify growth opportunities and deliver value-based solutions aligned with customer needs • Book orders according to the plan set by the Vice President of Sales • Build customer relationships and manage expectations for system purchasing, aftermarket service and support • Manage introductions and handoffs for installation, aftermarket, and escalation paths • Manage channel partner selling activities • Communicate customer, market, competition, application, market-condition, sales-support, and product-performance information • Identify and manage regional accounts and channel partners • Deliver sales presentations during introductory visits, management presentations, training sessions, and professional organization events • Visit existing customers regularly and inform them about relevant new technology • Report customer problems and successes to the home office and help drive improvements • Submit weekly expenses, sales forecasts, call reports, itineraries, lost-order reports, and customer support team reports • Support education and training for regional sales representatives and channel partners • Potentially supervise technical or application salespeople after training
• BS in Engineering (Mechanical preferred), Sales/Marketing or Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Training and demonstrated experience in value-selling • Familiarity with Flow products/services and competitive offerings • Minimum of five (5) years of capital equipment sales experience • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a sales management position • Working knowledge of MS Office suite applications • High level of analytical ability for complex problems • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into audience-specific messages • Business and technical acumen • Customer empathy and ability to leverage customer value, including ROI and TCO • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to work independently and involve the organization as needed • High interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and apply input • Ability to travel with some frequency, occasionally for extended periods • Ability to talk or hear regularly; occasionally stand, walk, sit, reach, and lift/move up to 10 pounds • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
