📋 Description

• Handle consumer contacts from initiation through investigation, documentation, and closure across corporate and plant levels • Communicate with consumers by phone, letters, and email • Provide leadership direction on consumer issues and possible product liability • Oversee the consumer 1-800 number • Maintain the Emplifi Consumer Database, including issue entry, report generation, and recommendations for updates and improvements • Serve as primary liaison between consumers and sales, manufacturing, quality control, customer service, risk management, corporate, and plant personnel • Implement and follow Consumer Relations guidelines and policies • Manage daily operation, recovery planning, updates, improvements, and integrity of the Emplifi Consumer Database • Ensure timely, friendly, and effective responses using company-approved communications • Assist plant concern coordinators with treatment, entry, and closure of concerns • Monitor consumer issues, trends, product responses, and best practices • Develop tracking reports by plant, product, and complaint type • Test and evaluate database releases and upgrades and recommend enhancements • Verify and process product reimbursement claims • Work with insurance and risk management on product liability issues • Communicate consumer responses through established channels • Train internal and temporary personnel on system capabilities when necessary • Perform other duties as directed and comply with company operating policies

🎯 Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in consumer foods industry • Effective and diplomatic written and oral communication skills • Maturity, stability, and judgment in dealing with difficult situations involving consumers • Strong knowledge of consumer contact database systems, database reporting tools, and personal computer operations • Intermediate to advanced software skills, including Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, and PowerPoint • SAP preferred • Analytical/problem-solving aptitude • Company product, procedures, and systems knowledge a plus • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, English, or Communications preferred; or equivalent years of experience • Compliance with company policies and procedures
