📋 Description

• Prepare or review third-party financial accounting, contractual allowances, cost reports, surveys, and assigned projects • Perform routine and non-routine reimbursement analysis and recommend solutions to complex problems • Reconcile third-party general ledger accounts and calculate actual and budgeted contractual allowances and variances • Monitor individual claims and interact with HIM, PAS, and hospital finance staff • Prepare monthly Medicare and Medicaid settlement and policy reserve calculations • Prepare or review cost reports and surveys, audit adjustments, settlements, appeals, and exception requests • Stay current on reimbursement laws and regulations and determine impacts on hospital operations • Manage work scope, deadlines, deliverables, complex projects, schedules, and meetings • Develop, document, and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards • Investigate reimbursement changes and communicate potential impacts to financial leadership • Mentor and coordinate, train, direct, and review staff working with reimbursement functions • Support reimbursement functions for 2+ hospitals or 1+ hospital and Central Office assignments

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or another business-related field with four years’ experience; degree from an accredited institution and education verified • Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or another business-related field with two years’ experience; degree from an accredited institution and education verified • Computer skills including spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and Internet • Experience or knowledge in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement methodologies • Experience in hospital cost reporting • Experience in financial modeling and data analytics • Experience with audit processes and reimbursement settlements • Ability to interpret and apply complex federal and state healthcare regulations • Ability to collaborate across Finance, Revenue Cycle, Operations, Government Relations, and Executive Leadership • Standard business-hours availability Monday through Friday, with occasional additional hours during peak periods • Ability to meet physical, visual, auditory, and manual dexterity requirements • Colorado residence requirement for remote caregivers whose assigned Intermountain facility or service area is based in Colorado; candidates residing or planning to reside in California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, or Washington are not considered
