đź“‹ Description

• Champion and sustain a 'Safety First' culture across the manufacturing network, including proactive risk assessment, human-factors analysis, and safety metrics governance • Lead Lean manufacturing and Ford Production System / World Class Manufacturing deployment across engine, powertrain, battery, and vehicle assembly plants • Drive standardized problem-solving, waste elimination, Kaizen, lean maturity, and quality measurement across sites • Define and execute the manufacturing digital transformation roadmap covering Industry 4.0, smart factory, IIoT, data analytics, and automation • Pilot and scale digital tools with IT, engineering, and plant operations to improve throughput, quality, and cost • Integrate real-time dashboards and predictive analytics into daily operations and executive reporting • Own the KPI, scorecard, performance governance, and review framework across vehicle operations, powertrain, and battery business units • Support new manufacturing line launches from equipment and systems commissioning through steady-state production • Provide the Director with business planning, budget management, resource allocation, and organizational effectiveness support • Drive Total Cost per Unit and efficiency improvements and lead special projects for the Director • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing transformation, lean, digital, and business management team • Advise plant managers, functional leaders, and senior executives; coordinate transformation initiatives across global manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain organizations • Manage governance processes, executive communications, and reporting for Vehicle Operations & Powertrain

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field • 10+ years of progressive experience in automotive manufacturing, operations, or transformation leadership, including new/greenfield launch exposure • Expertise in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies; Black Belt or equivalent certification preferred • Deep familiarity with the Ford Production System or comparable OEM production systems • Proven experience leading large-scale digital or Industry 4.0 transformation initiatives in manufacturing • Strong background in performance management systems, KPI development, and business governance • Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders in matrixed organizations, including plant managers and site leadership • Excellent analytical, strategic-thinking, and executive-communication skills, with ability to lead through ambiguity and industrial disruption • Experience in engine, powertrain, battery/EV, or vehicle assembly operations is preferred • Experience supporting battery cell or battery pack manufacturing launches is preferred • Experience with MES, IIoT, predictive maintenance, and AI/ML applications in manufacturing is preferred • Prior senior-manager or director-level people leadership experience is preferred • Experience with union and non-union labor environments, workforce organizing activity, or UAW contract engagement is preferred
