📋 Description

• Create metadata files and write R syntax from written questionnaires, variable names, and descriptive labels • Run test data through syntax to identify discrepancies between instrument specifications and programmed surveys • Clean and recode sample frames on low-complexity projects with minimal supervision and moderate-complexity projects with direct supervision • Review team members’ code and output for coding or output errors • Create, maintain, and use data management process documentation • Perform basic statistical operations and data manipulation/transformation • Troubleshoot syntax issues and errors • Apply robust processes and manage an independent task list • Explain technical concepts to team members within the division • Identify and communicate potential concerns to senior staff and teams across the company • Support team members with reporting potential concerns • Complete internal and external technical training for professional development

🎯 Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience using R, RStudio, and its various packages for data management • 1–2 years of experience cleaning and wrangling data, especially survey data or database management • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in statistics, social sciences, or related disciplines • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Must consent to a full background check • Must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information and undergo a government security investigation • Experience using GitHub is a plus
