📋 Description

• Support financial integration of new transactions, including legal entity acquisitions or formation, reinsurance transactions, securitizations, debt issuance, and complex investment structures • Execute initiatives involving accounting considerations, financial reporting, audit compliance, internal controls, and financial analysis • Oversee integration of deals into reinsurance, investment, and general ledger systems • Manage finance integration project plans, deliverables, timelines, milestones, cost, and time budgets • Coordinate with finance, accounting, operations, and technology teams to deliver integrated solutions • Develop and implement a standard integration playbook • Identify and escalate blockers, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership • Provide progress reporting, status updates, and integration documentation • Maintain and update the ICFR program for new transactions • Support internal and external audits and control buildouts • Document and test General Ledger changes across US GAAP, US STAT, Management non-GAAP, and Bermuda SFS/EBS bases • Develop illustrative journal entries, cost/revenue elements, and profit center coding • Implement reporting and disclosure requirements and reconcile transaction data across financial statements, actuarial models, and reporting systems • Facilitate the Structured Transaction Working Group and support evaluation of complex investment transactions • Onboard new portfolios, mirror/cession investment structures, and reinsurance transactions • Coordinate data and control requirements for investment assets and reinsurance-related entities • Support accounting setup, valuation, and reporting for capital market and securitization transactions • Leverage AI in integration • Develop and maintain BRDs, process maps, and methodology memoranda • Ensure alignment with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, corporate development, pricing, legal, and reinsurance operations teams • Participate in lessons-learned reviews to improve integration processes and controls

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting • CPA or equivalent certification • 10-12 years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial project management within insurance, reinsurance, or financial services • Strong understanding of ICFR, audit practices, US GAAP, and financial reporting controls • Extensive knowledge of Life and Annuity insurance products and related accounting • Extensive knowledge of reinsurance transaction structures, including coinsurance, modified coinsurance, and FWH • Experience managing large-scale integration or financial transformation projects • Familiarity with capital markets transactions and debt issuance processes • Proficiency with financial systems and general ledger platforms • Strong project management and issue resolution skills • Deep audit and control acumen • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline • Agile approach to process improvement and integration • Strong accountability and proactive problem-solving • Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
