• Research, write, edit, compile, and submit grant proposals, competitive contract bids, concept papers, and letters of intent • Match funder priorities with fundable projects • Develop and maintain systems for organizing and sharing information through Salesforce, Asana, and other digital tools • Conduct prospect research to identify new funders and assess grant opportunities • Manage a portfolio of grants and develop cases of support for existing and new programs and projects • Coordinate with internal and external partners to identify funders and grant opportunities • Develop proposal timelines and work plans • Plan and articulate outcomes, objectives, deliverables, and budgets • Design, write, and gather supplemental application materials • Research, understand, track, summarize, and disseminate current and future grant opportunities • Facilitate and track revisions to scopes of work, budgets, and key grant dates • Keep internal and partner stakeholders informed • Support funder outreach and direct communications • Draft funder emails, meeting agendas, and funder profiles • Support special projects and other departmental, divisional, and organizational duties • Guide the grants management team’s work on active grants, including reports, modification requests, and funder stewardship, as needed
• Minimum of three (3) + years of work experience with demonstrated success • Minimum of two or three (2-3) years of related work and/or volunteer experience in submitting successful philanthropic, corporate, and/or government grant proposals • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an education or non-profit environment preferred • Familiarity with the community college system a plus • Familiarity with fundraising office administration, including best practices, protocols, procedures, and record/data management • Experience with the scaling and startup of programs preferred • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Salesforce, Asana, and/or other digital systems, platforms, and tools that support collaborative work and fundraising strongly preferred • Must reside in California
