📋 Description

• Serve as lead instructional designer for assigned internal FranklinCovey projects • Design and customize learning experiences, content, and tools for FranklinCovey offerings, internal processes, toolkits, enablement content, and internal training • Serve as instructional designer for assigned custom client projects • Collaborate with Solution Consultants and clients to adapt FranklinCovey content to specific client contexts • Configure courses, modules, tools, and reinforcement assets for client industry, culture, language, and use cases while preserving FranklinCovey intellectual property and standards • Apply adult learning principles, learning science, and experience design frameworks to drive behavior change and performance outcomes • Create design documents, outlines, storyboards, and wireframes • Integrate practice, reflection, manager involvement, assessments, and on-the-job experiments • Gather feedback from pilots, account teams, delivery consultants, internal stakeholders, and client engagements to refine designs • Maintain documentation and version control for reuse, scaling, and productization • Prioritize and sequence projects, estimate effort, and manage timelines with the Custom Operations Manager • Facilitate working sessions, design reviews, and feedback loops • Communicate design rationale, options, and trade-offs to non-design stakeholders • Partner with Content, Delivery, Practices, Marketing, Product, and other internal stakeholders to align requirements, scope, timelines, and success criteria

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design • 7+ years of experience in instructional design or learning experience design • Experience preferably in a corporate, consulting, or professional services environment • Experience leading projects involving net-new design and customization of existing content • Ability to design across ILT, VILT, digital, blended, and microlearning modalities • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, including ADDIE, SAM, and design thinking • Excellent written and visual communication skills • Strong project and time-management skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting • Comfort collaborating with diverse, cross-functional teams and incorporating feedback into iterative design • Proficiency with learning authoring and design tools • Experience with leadership development, productivity, trust, execution, or culture-change content areas • Familiarity with FranklinCovey frameworks, models, and brand voice • Experience partnering with facilitators/delivery consultants and product/content teams • Proficiency with project management technologies such as Asana and Smartsheet • Ability to work remotely anywhere in the contiguous United States
