📋 Description

• Handle the entire claim adjustment process without Desk Adjuster involvement • Collect and review loss-related facts and analyze insurance policy terms to make coverage decisions • Issue claim payments within the applicable authority level and recommend payments above that level • Contact insureds to schedule inspections and travel to affected properties • Inspect damaged properties, including roofs, attics, crawl spaces, and other tight areas • Photograph, sketch, and scope all damages, including non-damaged areas • Compose claims correspondence and keep insureds informed • Determine the investigation method and extent for each claim • Assign outside experts or investigators when appropriate • Review investigative and claim materials to determine loss facts • Interview insureds and witnesses, including recorded and non-recorded interviews • Document investigative actions in claim files • Evaluate coverage and make coverage recommendations • Determine total claim value and request or disburse claim payments • Respond to questions in a timely manner • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to resolve claims issues • Assist with catastrophe operations, including working extra hours or deploying to affected areas • Contact Desk Adjusters regarding issues and expert needs • Submit reserve recommendations to Desk Adjusters within 48 hours of inspection • Email reports and estimates to the home office • Assist Desk Adjusters with pricing and technical issues

🎯 Requirements

• A four year college degree is preferred • Prior insurance experience with an insurance carrier or agency • Ability to access and inspect all areas of a dwelling or structure, including roofs, attics, and crawl spaces • Ability to carry, set up, and safely climb a Type IA ladder rated for 300 LB/136 KG and weighing 50 pounds or more • Ability to safely climb a ladder for roof inspections • Ability to work extra hours during major catastrophe events or deploy to affected areas as required • Ability to use several software programs throughout the day • Ability to maintain compliance with quality standards and state regulations
