📋 Description

• Handle regional and company-wide large property losses as needed • Determine exposure and evaluate losses to achieve timely resolution • Provide exceptional customer service • Control expenses and eliminate leakage associated with large property losses • Serve as CAT Coordinator for designated catastrophes • Oversee UFG’s Catastrophe Plan and review and update it annually as needed • Monitor Catography reports daily for catastrophe activity • Serve as a property training resource • Assist with new-hire and regional property training • Act as a general subject matter expert • Work claims in adherence with Claims Best Practices, Claims Gold Standard reserving, and UFG’s Catastrophe Plan

🎯 Requirements

• 10 years of property claims experience • 4-year college degree preferred • AIC, SCLA or PCLA of the AEI series; if the adjuster does not have a designation, one will be completed within 3 years • Willingness and ability to participate in continuing education relevant to the position/duties • Meet appropriate state licensing laws and requirements • Self-motivated with strong time-management skills and ability to function with little supervision • Strong technical, analytical and investigative skills • Computer skills and estimating software skills • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills • Strong soft and customer service skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Demonstrated leadership capabilities • Ability to work independently and from a remote home office • Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends • Ability to travel overnight, including assignments to catastrophes • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time on short notice • Ability to work outside and lift 40 lbs.
