📋 Description

• Build tracking infrastructure for product analytics, experimentation, and feature gates • Enforce event schemas at the source • Build data processing infrastructure using Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers in Databricks • Implement automated schema evolution, contract tests, safe backfills, freshness monitors, and volume monitors • Build ML infrastructure for feature computation and serving, training and evaluation pipelines, and model output integration into products • Create self-service templates, local development and preview environments, policy-as-code for PHI, ownership routing for alerts, and progressive deployment gates • Enable subject matter experts and agents to safely make data changes • Establish data contracts, CI data diffing, validation gates, lineage, observability, and one-command rollback capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• Built internal platform or infrastructure adopted by other engineers • Operated production data or ML systems and participated in on-call support • Strong Python and SQL skills • Comfortable with Databricks and lakehouse environments; Snowflake or BigQuery experience translates • Designed and evolved interfaces and schemas without breaking dependent teams • Experience with testing and CI for data or ML systems • 1–4 years of engineering experience • Nice-to-have: dbt, DLT, Dagster, Airflow, Kafka, Spark Structured Streaming, data contracts, data diffing, lineage tooling, Terraform, feature stores, MLOps and evaluation tooling, agentic coding workflows, healthcare, PHI, or HIPAA experience
