📋 Description

• Design and permit distribution lines • Prepare drawings and develop bills of materials • Order materials • Conduct field visits and use collected information to create drawings • Create overhead and underground electrical distribution designs using various software • Follow local utility and construction standards • Support complete project, system, component, or process design • Prepare plans, specifications, and other project documents • Support designs, conduct analyses, and interpret test data • Assign tasks to and direct technical and non-technical staff • Plan and coordinate engineering work • Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules • Assist with proposals for professional services or engineering project funding • Provide guidance to direct reports and junior staff and review work products • Attend project meetings and present aspects of engineering assignments • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of related experience • B.S. Engineering or other technical degree • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field • Driver’s License required • Distribution line design experience • Experience with overhead and underground electrical distribution designs • Ability to use design software packages efficiently • Ability to follow local utility and construction standards • Ability to conduct field visits and use information to create drawings • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work effectively in design teams • Ability to multitask and prioritize work • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Flexibility to handle shifting deadlines and scope changes • Minimal travel for site visits (5%-30%)
