📋 Description

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations across Game Plan Tech's Government Contracting business and Playbook product line • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, and employee expense reports • Review accounting postings for accuracy, proper coding, and timeliness • Maintain GAAP-compliant books and DCAA-compliant accounting practices • Lead the month-end close process • Oversee the month-end close book and balance sheet account reconciliations • Perform or review bank reconciliations • Maintain and enforce an accounting close calendar • Collaborate with the Staff Accountant on data entry and transactional accuracy • Partner with the Financial Analyst on project accounting and revenue recognition • Report to the Controller on close status, reconciliation issues, and account management matters • Own invoicing for Playbook product lines • Manage subscription customer accounts, including billing setup, renewals, and related accounts receivable • Coordinate with Playbook leadership on billing terms, pricing, and customer account status • Oversee state tax accounts, including registrations, filing coordination, and payments • Serve as internal point of contact for state tax compliance questions

🎯 Requirements

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in Government Contracting • Hands-on experience with Unanet or Deltek • Strong understanding and practical application of DCAA compliance, FAR, and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards) • Working knowledge of government contracting travel regulations, such as Joint Travel Regulations/FTR-based policies • Demonstrated experience with month-end close, GL/balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations • Experience reviewing the work of junior accounting staff and collaborating on day-to-day transactional accounting • Experience with multi-state tax compliance • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Strong Google Sheets skills • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively across a team
