GCU is a Cape Town–based non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering youth in vulnerable communities through literacy and education, early childhood development and foster care, physical education and training, mentoring and tutoring, feeding schemes, and youth skills training and employment programs. It runs ECD centres, meal programs, volunteer opportunities and mind-stimulating activities (like chess) to build confidence, strategic thinking and long-term community resilience.

📋 Description

• Answer inquiries from prospects via telephone and chat in a timely manner • Inform prospects about the University and its programs • Represent GCE as a skilled communicator familiar with higher education • Share knowledge of university processes and procedures to gauge prospect interest • Stay current on policy and procedural changes and incorporate them into daily operations • Determine whether a University Partner program meets each prospect’s needs • Direct prospects to an appropriate program • Accurately communicate university expectations to support students’ long-term success • Serve as a member of a graduation team including academic counseling and admissions representatives • Communicate and strategize with graduation teammates to address student needs promptly • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals defined by the supervisor and department objectives • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Passion for assisting others in realizing their goals through higher education • High level of integrity and commitment to compliance with regulatory rules • Enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic work environment • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Strong computer skills with the ability to toggle between multiple software programs • Associate's degree preferred • Ability to work EST hours ideally • Full-time availability, Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
