• Lead execution of business development transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments, partnerships/alliances, and licensing opportunities • Independently lead most phases of transaction processes under Managing Director oversight • Analyze strategy and markets • Identify and screen targets • Lead transaction structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing • Lead strategy and transaction conversations with business and functional leadership • Support prioritization of global market segment requirements • Perform gap analysis against business unit portfolios • Define strategic and tactical steps to position segments for accelerated growth • Manage communication and alignment with key internal stakeholders • Support effective decision-making and transaction approval processes • Mentor and develop junior team members • Partner with senior executives and business leaders to execute acquisitions, strategic investments, partnerships, and divestitures that accelerate growth and strengthen global leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Life Sciences or Medicine • Minimum eight years of experience, including a minimum of six years of relevant business development experience in mergers and acquisitions, licensing, divestitures, or joint ventures in a corporate, investment banking, or consulting environment • Experience supporting and/or leading all elements of the transaction process, including analyzing strategy and markets, identifying and screening targets, structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing • Demonstrated experience and expertise in the medtech industry • Strong communication, interpersonal, and influence skills • Demonstrated aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and resolving complex and challenging situations • Team leadership and facilitation skills in a matrix organization and interacting with senior executives • Strong problem solving skills • Experience simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability • Experience making decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information • Experience communicating priorities clearly and concisely • Integrity and adherence to high ethical, moral, and personal values • Adaptability and flexibility in ambiguous or changing situations • Excellent working knowledge of English language, oral and written • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Must successfully complete a drug screen, as applicable • Employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
