📋 Description

• Defend lawsuits filed in New York courts • Researching laws and preparing legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda • Rendering opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department • Preparing and handling pleadings, motions, and discovery • Defending by trial or dispositive hearing, all matters assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 2 to 6+ years of experience in litigation • Experience in insurance defense and/or personal injury • Juris Doctor degree REQUIRED • Admission to the New York Bar REQUIRED • Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in New York • Must be able to travel as required • Must be able to document files in a clear, concise, professional manner • Must be able to follow complex instructions • Strong organization/priority setting and multi-tasking skills
