• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for commercial flooring markets • Identify key market segments, geographic opportunities, and growth initiatives • Translate corporate goals into measurable sales plans, performance targets, and business development initiatives • Evaluate market opportunities, competitive positioning, pricing strategies, and long-term growth investments with executive leadership • Establish and manage annual sales budgets, forecasts, quotas, and performance metrics • Implement sales management processes, pipeline standards, and KPI reporting • Provide forecasting, market intelligence, and performance updates to the EVP of Sales, CEO, and Board • Drive proactive business development, strategic account penetration, and solution-oriented selling • Build executive-level relationships with architects, designers, contractors, developers, end users, distributors, and industry influencers • Lead strategic account planning for retention, specification growth, and long-term partnerships • Represent the company at industry events, trade organizations, customer meetings, and networking opportunities • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing sales organization • Establish performance standards and development plans; conduct coaching, performance reviews, and strategic business reviews • Collaborate with sales, customer service, operations, product management, marketing, and executive leadership • Align product positioning, innovation priorities, and go-to-market strategies with market needs • Support pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and margin management • Drive alignment around customer experience, sustainability initiatives, and strategic priorities • Monitor market conditions, industry trends, specification activity, competitive dynamics, and customer preferences • Provide insights supporting business planning, product strategy, and commercial decisions • Maintain knowledge of commercial construction trends, design influences, procurement models, and customer expectations
• 7–10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably within the commercial flooring, interiors, building materials, or related construction products industry • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth, leading sales teams, and developing strategic customer relationships within the commercial segment • Strong understanding of specification sales processes and the commercial construction ecosystem, including architects, designers, general contractors, flooring contractors, dealers, and end users • Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing teams within a dynamic and growth-oriented environment • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including forecasting, pipeline management, pricing strategy, and performance analysis • Proficiency with CRM platforms, sales analytics tools, Microsoft Excel, and reporting systems • Highly organized with strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30–40% as required • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred • Growth mindset with entrepreneurial ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution • Collaborative leadership style with strong emotional intelligence and organizational awareness • High level of professionalism, accountability, and personal integrity • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving business environment • Passion for design, customer experience, and delivering differentiated solutions to the market
