📋 Description

• Understand and document current platform workflows, exception paths, rules, and undocumented behavior • Build and maintain accurate reference material for AI tooling and engineers • Review tickets and specifications against product reality before development • Define acceptance criteria, edge cases, failure behavior, and explicit non-goals • Answer product questions using SQL against real data • Quantify shipped work and measure outcomes • Build and maintain recurring reporting for cross-functional pods • Surface anomalies, outliers, distribution issues, and unreconciled metrics • Build rough working prototypes using AI tooling • Create screens, scripts, query tools, data views, and small internal tools • Communicate product intent clearly to engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years as a business analyst, technical analyst, product analyst, data analyst, or in product operations working closely with engineers • Strong SQL skills, including writing queries against real schemas and understanding join effects on row counts • Ability to read database schemas and infer product behavior • Daily practical use of AI tools, including structuring context, iterating prompts, and detecting confidently wrong outputs • Ability to build rough working prototypes with AI assistance • Clear, precise writing • Analytical honesty: quantify findings, state assumptions, and investigate unreconciled numbers • Comfort operating without process scaffolding • Ability to prioritize and decline work when necessary • Bonus: B2B SaaS experience with enterprise customers • Bonus: Experience with compliance- or workflow-heavy products • Bonus: Python for analysis • Bonus: Experience maintaining documentation used by AI tooling
