The platform provides real-time visibility into chargers and vehicles, dynamic power management to reduce utility costs, diagnostics and uptime monitoring, integrated payment and billing, and compliance/credit reporting—leveraging AI for predictive charging and error detection. Flipturn targets large commercial and fleet customers (Fortune 500 and EV industry leaders) with a SaaS solution for centralized charger and energy management.

📋 Description

• Build major features for the Flipturn Controller, an onsite control computer integrating with EV chargers, batteries, generators, meters, and utility programs • Get feedback from customers • Drive the vision of Flipturn's EV charging platform • Help set the culture of the engineering team • Integrate EV charging with on-site batteries and generators, utility programs, and other sources of control • Upgrade embedded Linux systems, including build tooling, bootloaders, and board bring-up • Improve firmware and the full-stack energy management platform • Help customers participate in PG&E's Flex Connect program and get their sites running faster

🎯 Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in software engineering • 2+ years of experience with firmware development • Experience with embedded Linux systems, including build tooling (Yocto or similar), bootloaders, and board bring-up • Interest in working on firmware/hardware projects as well as full-stack product development • Experience on a fast-moving industry-leading technology team and delivering products and features end-to-end • Interest in using AI tools to accelerate software development
