• Ensure quality and compliance for construction, building, and commissioning activities at customer sites • Maintain and verify implementation of Site Quality Plans • Schedule and conduct site audits based on contractual requirements and customer needs • Coordinate with site contractors to ensure tasks meet local and city/state requirements • Work with the Site Manager to ensure scheduled completion with appropriate checks and documentation • Coordinate and report site quality activities and quality interfaces • Maintain communication and alignment with clients, project teams, subcontractors, quality engineers, and site managers • Determine, review, and consider customer requirements in site activities • Inform customers about site quality issues and progress • Communicate and document customer requests and complaints • Prepare, implement, and update Site Quality Plans • Review work procedures and method statements for compliance with work practices and contract requirements • Monitor Inspection and Test Plans and participate in site inspections and tests • Manage site quality activities, interfaces, and reviews with customers, internal departments, suppliers, and subcontractors • Organize and participate in site inspections and quality audits • Deliver site quality awareness sessions and training • Maintain deviation/non-conformance follow-up tables and snag lists • Participate in deviation analysis, problem solving, and corrective actions • Monitor and communicate progress against Site Quality objectives • Plan, organize, and run monthly site quality reviews • Verify and document materials’ conformity, handling, storage, and acceptability for project use • Coordinate transport damage or loss insurance claims with Supply Chain • Stop work jointly with the Site Manager when safety or quality issues require resolution • Identify and collect quality records from internal teams and subcontractors • Review inspection reports and quality records for compliance and completeness • Assemble and forward site closeout documents for O&M manuals • Establish and share site Returns of Experience • Provide subcontractors with quality-related Returns of Experience • Lead site quality execution and manage project scope of work • Ensure equipment and construction quality comply with contracts, company policy, and local regulations • Travel 90% across North America
• Degree in Construction, quality management, or Engineering discipline; Electrical Engineering preferred, Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering accepted, or equivalent • 5+ years of experience in site management and commissioning, substation construction, or project execution within utility, electrical substation, or related industrial environments • Experience developing and implementing Site Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans for HV turnkey projects • Experience in quality management, quality assurance, and quality control • Equivalent hands-on field leadership experience may qualify, including site management, electrical construction, substation operations, or similar technical trades leadership with deep understanding of electrical design • Experience leading quality activities in EPC projects • Internal and second-party audit ability; ISO 9001 appreciated • Microsoft Office, document control systems, non-conformance management systems, SAP, or similar IT tools • Good communication and influencing skills • English is required • Relevant field credentials such as Journeyman status, Master Electrician license, OSHA 30, or similar site-based certifications are highly valued • Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills • Ability to lead teams and coordinate contractors in fast-paced field environments • Experience supporting or overseeing electrical substation upgrades, expansions, or new-build projects • Strong understanding of safety, lockout/tagout, and EHS expectations on customer sites • Ability to analyze and resolve problems • Established project or site management skills; PMP certification is a plus • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
