📋 Description

• Design, review, and Professional Engineer stamp protection schemes, electrical schematics, and relay settings for substations, data centers, and battery energy storage systems • Coordinate technical aspects of power substation projects to ensure safe operation • Review load flow, fault, and relay coordination studies • Mentor secondary design teams • Establish technical standards and develop design templates • Lead root cause analyses • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and standards committees such as the IEEE to advance industry practices • Lead advanced protection and control designs for transmission, distribution, and renewable energy projects • Develop grid solutions across AC, HVDC, and FACTS systems

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university • Professional Engineer license • Minimum of 10 years of experience in system protection schemes, relay selection, and operational analysis for transmission and distribution substations • Minimum of 8 years of experience in design reviews and technical mentoring • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for client meetings and on-site testing • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable • Preferred: Active membership in standards committees such as the IEEE • Preferred: Experience with IEC 61850 process and system bus architecture • Preferred: Expertise in Lean problem-solving methodologies
